Peyton is the son of Travis and Blythe Gregg. He was born on March 20, 2015, 8 weeks early and is still in the Spartanburg Regional NICU. Peyton was born weighing 3lbs 12oz and 17in long. He is currently undergoing several genetics tests to determine the cause of a missing chromosome but continues to make progress everyday.
Peyton & his family have a long road ahead of them as they wait for the results of his tests to determine what the future will hold for baby Peyton. Please come out to this event to show your support for the family and to show them that we are all "Pulling for Peyton".
EVENT STANDARDS AND DESCRIPTION:
EVENT #1- Will be the deadlift. Each team will have 10 minutes to warm-up and then 10 minutes to establish a team 1 rep max. You can take unlimited attempts to establish this 1 rep max. Only the weights lifted in the second 10 minute block will count to your team score. Each team members 1 rep max will be combined to make a team total. For example, if partner A Deadlifts 200lbs and Partner B Deadlifts 300lbs then team total is 500 lbs. This is a belt only deadlift. No straps allowed.
Event #2- Will be the prowler pull. Both teammates will be harnessed to 1 prowler. On the start command they will have 75 seconds to pull the prowler 50 ft. The weights will be 400lbs for the women and 650lbs for the men. * Note these weights have changed from the previous weights established* If the team does not pull the sled the full distance in the time allotted then their score will be the distance they do pull the sled.
Event #3- Will be the row. Each team will have one rower and have 10 minutes to row the farthest distance possible. Each teammate most row at least once and can split the work up however they like. Teams can switch members as much as they like in that 10 minute time frame.
