The 11th annual “Music in the Meadow” will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 (the Saturday after Memorial Day weekend), at the Coarsegold Historic Museum. This year’s event will once again feature “all music, all the time” with two bands playing throughout the afternoon. Featured performers are are the returning “Morgan Canyon Band” who perform “mellow rock” from the 50s, 60s and 70s. They refer to their style as “urban bluegrass” Also returning is “Grassfire” who play lively traditional bluegrass.
This fundraising event will run from 12:00 to 4:00 and will feature displays from local museums. Admission is only $10. Food and beverage (including beer and wine) will be available for your enjoyment (not included in ticket price). In addition, there will be a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. Docents will be available for museum tours. Of special note, will be the grand opening and ribbon cutting for our newly renovated and furnished “Old Adobe” building.
Of additional note; this year’s event will be under a large canopy, so shade should be plentiful ! Bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy a lovely afternoon surrounded by history and bathed in fun music.
