Bresee's 10th Annual Youth Film Festival on Social Justice on the topic "Immigration Reform" will be held at the Los Angeles Theater Center in Theater # 1, on Saturday, May 16th, 10a.m.-1:00p.m.
County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis will be our keynote speaker. Guests from government, foundations, corporations, non-profits, youth filmmakers & their families, will be in attendance and we hope to see you there too!
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
Open to any Middle or High School Student. Make a 3 minute or less film in any genre about current U.S. policy on Immigration Reform and you’ll be eligible to have your film shown on the big screen and possibly earn one of five great awards.
Here are a few basic questions to guide your films:
How has President Obama’s recent executive actions on immigration (DACA, DAPA) affected your life and family?
What reforms are still needed?
Show us personal stories about you, your family or someone you know in your community who has been affected by U.S. policies on immigration, past or present.
Submission deadline: May 1, 2015.
