So, here it is, 1 Brighton fm’s first big party of the year and oh, what a party!
As many of you may know, 1 Brighton fm launched it’s online broadcast on the 3rd April and now we are up and running and the dust has settled (slightly), we thought it only right and proper to host an all day party in honour of it’s very welcomed inception.
Yes, It’s our official launch party and we are taking over the Big beach café for an all dayer to remember!
To boot, we are having a fund raiser for the rather fabulous Audio active, a local music charity that we are working closely with, who also host their own radio show on 1 Brighton fm.
All of the money raised from the event will be donated to Audio active and their very worthwhile cause.
Mission - Established in 2004, AudioActive is a registered charity (1123891) working to challenge disadvantage and enhance the development of children and young people by providing high quality creative and musical experiences throughout the South East.
Vision: We believe that music and the arts have the power to change lives. We want all children and young people to be able to access and learn from talented, inspiring artists and for them to be able shape the activities they take part in.
What we do: Specialising in music technology and urban performing art forms we create exciting projects and opportunities for young people that nurture their talent and teach them skills that increase their life chances in adulthood and their independence as performers or artists. We constantly take inspiration from new trends and technological developments to make sure that our work with young people is fresh, original and always evolving.
We have - as you would expect - assembled a cracking line up of DJ’s and as many as we can possibly squeeze into a 12 hour mash up!

I doubt there are many people in Brighton who haven’t frequented the World’s end pub on the London rd at some
point to sample some of the BBQ shack’s award winning, lip smacking delights. We are delighted to say that pit master John Hargate is stepping out from the confines of the pub kitchen and bringing his Texas BBQ magic to the Lagoon.
In the fabled words of one Jay Rainer after a visit from London to our magical seaside town and to said BBQ shack ‘My obsessive search is over. Real barbecue has been found. All is right with the world’ High praise indeed.
What more inspiration do you need?
